  OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Thursday, April 2, 2026   Good Morning OLA!    Today is Thursday, April 2, 2026.   Morning Offering and S pecial Intentions: Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, when he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion. It also commemorates His institution of the priesthood. The holy day falls on the Thursday before Easter and is part of Holy Week. Jesus celebrated the dinner as a Passover feast. Christ would fulfill His role as the Christian victim of the Passover for all to be saved by His final sacrifice. Today, we pray for Holy Wednesday.   Holy Wednesday is also known as Spy Wednesday because  it is traditionally thought of as the day Judas Iscariot conspired to betray Jesus to the Sanhedrin in exchange for 30 pieces of silver. Because Judas is thought to be sneaky, his actions conjured up the image of a spy. Isaiah 53:5-6 He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Thoughts on today's verse:   Jesus had our sins, placed upon him so we would not have to bear the consequences of it. God of peace, fill our souls with the wonder of your grace. Let us not forget the cost of your love. Stir in us the constant and abiding memory of your redemptive grace.   Through Jesus we pray....

Forgiving Father, please forgive us today for our lack of passion to love and forgive others in the way you have forgiven us. Create in us a heart like your own.
