  OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Thursday, April 2, 2026   Good Morning OLA!    Today is Thursday, April 2, 2026.   Morning Offering and S pecial Intentions: Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, when he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion. It also commemorates His institution of the priesthood. The holy day falls on the Thursday before Easter and is part of Holy Week. Jesus celebrated the dinner as a Passover feast. Christ would fulfill His role as the Christian victim of the Passover for all to be saved by His final sacrifice. Today, we pray for Holy Wednesday.   Holy Wednesday is also known as Spy Wednesday because  it is traditionally thought of as the day Judas Iscariot conspired to betray Jesus to the Sanhedrin in exchange for 30 pieces of silver. Because Judas is thought to be sneaky, his actions conjured up the image of a spy. Today, we pray for Spy Wednesday.   Lord God, We tremble to think That it was one of Jesus’ own friends who betrayed him.   One who sat by him, who broke bread with him.   Give us strength, we pray, To walk faithfully with Jesus, Even when the road we walk is rocky.   Even when t...
