                              OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Friday, December 17, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, December 17, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.   Father, continue to be with us as we take our exams.  Keep our minds alert and our memory sharp.  Calm our nerves and help us to concentrate.  We know that you walk with us, guiding our paths and inspiring our hearts.  We pray that we feel you with us, and thank you for your peace and your love in our life.   Through Jesus we pray.   Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.                                OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Tuesday, December 14, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, December 14, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.   Today we place David's Crown and Solomon's Temple on the Jesse Tree   David was a shepherd when he was anointed King of Israel.  Jesus came as the Good Shepherd, and now sits on the throne of the Kingdom of Heaven at the right hand of God. God continues to shepherd his people today through the bishops and priests anointed to lead the Kingdom of God on earth.   Solomon was blessed with wisdom and he sought to build the Temple in Jerusalem to honor God.  His wisdom reminded him that he could not be a good leader apart from God.  He needed God's wisdom and discernment.   Come Holy Spirit and fill our hearts today.  Give us the strength and courage of David and Jes

                             OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Monday, December 13, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, December 13, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.   Luke 1:26-28   God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." Thoughts on today's verse:  Wow! Such a familiar sentence packed with emotion. An angel comes to Nazareth to visit and speak with a young woman engaged to be married. Before the history-shattering news is announced, she is given one key reminder that will be truer than she could imagine, "The Lord is with you."                                 OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Friday, December 10, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, December 10, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.   Deuteronomy 18:15    The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like [Moses] from among your own brothers. You must listen to him. Thoughts on today's verse:  Jesus is that prophet like Moses. He has come and taught us God's truth.  He has taught us with his example, through the deeds he has done. He is teaching us through his abiding presence in us and through the Spirit he has given us. But he teaches us most effectively when we put into practice what he has said. Lord, Help us not only hear his voice, but listen to his message and life and put it into practice today.  Gently correct and lead us in the way of obedience so that we may more perfectly glorify

                              OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Thursday, December 9, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, December 9, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.   Today we place the Grain and the Sheep on the Jesse Tree, symbolizing Ruth and King David.   Ruth and Naomi lost all the people they loved.  Naomi's two sons - one of them was Ruth's husband - had died, along with Naomi's husband.  Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem, to the land of her people.  Ruth could have stayed in her own town with her own people, but as she was Naomi's only family, Ruth chose to go to Bethlehem with Naomi.  Ruth found a new life and a new husband there, and came to know the one true God.  She worked gathering grain in the fields when she met Boaz, who was a good man.  They married, had a son, and he took care of Ruth and Naomi.
