                            OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Wednesday, August 31, 2022   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, August 31, 2022.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.     Psalms 95:6-7    Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Thoughts on today's verse:  Worship is more than our heart, soul, and words offered to God. It's our posture. When we understand the grace he has given us to be called his children, what else can we do but bow down. We come to him as a conquering ruler in full submission, and he chooses to treat us tenderly, like a loving shepherd. Thoughts on today's verse:  To be a part of God's family is grace. Our lives are a gift from the Holy One who spoke into existence the universe (in which we are) and who knows how to share and love in ways we can't even imagine. For the incredible and boundless love you have given to us, O Almighty God, we can only fall to our knees and thank you. Your power is beyond our comprehension. Your awesome holiness is beyond our understanding. Yet your infinite grace is mine because of your love, which cost you so much. &q

Thoughts on today's verse:  Wouldn't it be great if we could tear down all the walls that divide us. The apostle Paul spent his entire life trying to do just that, to tear down the walls that divided people by bringing them to Jesus and the cross. There are no positions of superiority or inferiority at the foot of the cross, only those who discover God's might displayed in sacrifice and God's love displayed in the face of human cruelty. Thoughts on today's verse:  One of the key realities of Christianity is belonging. We belong! We belong to God. We belong to Jesus. We belong to Jesus' body the Church. We have a place and a purpose in that body. We belong! Help us, Father, to find the place where we are supposed to fit in your body. Thoughts on today's verse:  When it comes to living life, if we know God's will and love it, we will do it. Nothing can make us stumble. Thank you God for this day. Thank you for all that lies ahead. Thank you that we don't have to face with doubts about our basic values and without a sense of your will for our lives. Stir in us a love for your will and your way so that nothing can make us stumble. Empower us by your Spirit and guide us by your truth so that we may more perfectly reflect your character. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. Thoughts on today's verse:  Understanding the Lord's love and nearness should lead us to serve him and continue our relationship with him. While we love God for many reasons, we want to express our love to him today especially for his personal concern for us. Father, thank you for hearing our prayers. Thank you for answering so many with the answer we sought from you. Give us patience when we cannot see your hand in other situations. We believe and trust you are there and working for our good even when we can
