Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, October 11, 2021.  

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 

Lord, Wrap us as a close knit family, draw us near to you Lord, and bind us with your Loving Hands. Let us be drawn closer to You. You are the Vine, dear Lord and we are the branches. You carry all knowledge and all power. You Lord are our medicine. Your Words Lord are Truth and Life.  Through Jesus my Lord as we pray:

Hail Mary, full of grace. Our Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthday today is Caroline Dufrene.  Happy Birthday Caroline! 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Taekwondo will meet after school today at 3:30 p.m. in the Physic Lab. 

Current Spanish National Honor Society Members - if you are interested in running for office, make sure to email Señora Frey with the position you would like to run for by 3:30 today.  

OLA Sports

-7th and 8th graders interested in playing soccer or basketball, please sign your name on the sheets on the window of the office.  Make sure to sign up even if you attended practice this summer.  We want to make sure everyone knows about our junior high sports. 

-Soccer and Basketball will start practicing tomorrow after school. The soccer team will practice at our home field and the basketball team will have a short practice in the gym after school.  Please watch for more information from your coaches.  

Tuesday: First round of volleyball playoffs at home vs. Raleigh at 6 pm

- Soccer and Basketball seasons begin

Thursday: Cross country meet at Biloxi High School at 4:30 pm

Saturday: South State Swim meet at Laurel Natatorium at 11 am

-Cross Country team at Watson High School Invitational in Clinton at 9 am

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
