Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, October 19, 2021. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Psalms 27:14 - Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Loving Father, we know you have waited for us so many times -- for us to show our faith, repent our sins, grow in holiness, come to you in prayer, act more mature, give to those who cannot return our care... Help us as we wait for you to show us the way with our decisions, to meet our needs, and reveal your presence in our loneliness.  We really do seek you with all our hearts. Through Jesus my Lord as we pray:

 

Hail Mary, full of grace. Our Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Mathcounts will be meeting on Friday from 3:30-4:30 in room 20.

 

Robotics, no practice for grades 9-12 this week.  Lego league will meet on Thursday from 3:30 until 4:30. New members welcome.

 

Campus Ministry has been asked to help Dunbar Village collect candy for their annual trick-or-treat.  Please bring a bag of candy to Mrs. Mayer's classroom by Friday, October 22, to help with this cause.

 

SENIORS, Seth Davis with Herff Jones will meet with seniors in the Physic Lab, tomorrow morning at 8:00 to discuss senior announcements and supplies.  Please plan to arrive to school early tomorrow morning.

 

To honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Student Council will be hosting a school-wide pink out this Friday! With a minimum donation of 3 dollars, you may wear your favorite appropriate pink shirt and pink accessories. You may wear jeans, your OLA skirt, or pink sweatpants only and closed back shoes (no slippers). No leggings, shorts, or non-OLA skirts. Face paint and colored hair spray may not be used. Please join us in showing our support for everyone affected by breast cancer around the world!

 

OLA Sports

The volleyball team will play St. Patrick at home tonight at 6 pm for the south state championship. Please come and support the team!!

Wednesday: Cross Country Senior Celebration at 5 pm

Saturday: Swim State Championship in Tupelo
