Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, December 10, 2021. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Deuteronomy 18:15   The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like [Moses] from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Jesus is that prophet like Moses. He has come and taught us God's truth.  He has taught us with his example, through the deeds he has done. He is teaching us through his abiding presence in us and through the Spirit he has given us. But he teaches us most effectively when we put into practice what he has said.

Lord, Help us not only hear his voice, but listen to his message and life and put it into practice today.  Gently correct and lead us in the way of obedience so that we may more perfectly glorify you with the worship of our daily life. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating birthdays over the weekend are Melanie Champagne, Magan Laville, Serenity Summers and Ashley Bulot.   Happy “Early” Birthday to ALL!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Anyone who is interested in joining YEARBOOK, check your emails and fill out the interest form ASAP! All grades are welcome! Our first meeting will be after Christmas break on Wednesday, January 5. If you have any questions, please talk to Ms. Ashley, Audrey Chang, or Katie Koenenn!

 

Service Hours - If you are having trouble finding service hours, please see your Religion teachers ASAP.  All service hours earned during the first semester must be turned in before leaving for Christmas holidays. 

 

Mathcounts will not meet again until we return in January. 

 

Come out to our annual "Late Night Breakfast" Study Session on Tuesday, December 14th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the OLA Commons, hosted by Mu Alpha Theta.  Come study with your friends, ask your teachers those last minute exam questions, and enjoy some bacon (and other breakfast foods)!  Any questions, see Ms. Ashley. 

 

OLA Sports

-The JV and varsity soccer teams both beat Resurrection last night.

-The varsity basketball team will play bay high at home tonight at 5 pm.
