Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, December 3, 2021. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Today we place the promised land and the tent on the Jesse tree.

 

The Lord has said to Abraham “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you…” Abraham puts his faith and trust in God to lead him and his family on this journey.  Sometimes God asks us to do things that are hard.  Sometimes he leads us on difficult paths that we would rather not travel.  He asks us to be good and to stand for truth when it would be easier, and sometimes more fun, to disobey him.

 

God made a promise to Abraham, and God kept his promise.  God keeps his promises to us, too.  As we go on our Advent journey, let us pray to trust God to lead us, open our ears to hear his directions, and open our mouths to speak his truth.  In Jesus name we pray:

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

 

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating birthdays today are Aubrey Canzoneri and Aennia Bridges.  And celebrating their birthday on Sunday is Karlie Dunn.   Happy Birthday Aubrey, Aennia and Karlie!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

“Dear OLA Sister School:   We would like to formally invite you to the SSC Christmas Choir Concert, to follow will be a light reception. Your presence would be a blessing! The event takes place on Monday @ 6:30 @ Our Lady of the Gulf Church”

 

The Blue National Honor Society Oxfords are in.  Please see Mrs. Gelpi today to pick up your oxford.

 

Mathcounts will meet TODAY after school.

If you are interested in playing softball, please sign-up on the sheets outside of the office.

 

Today: Varsity Basketball at West Marion at 6 pm.  -JV/V soccer at home vs. St. Patrick, Varsity at 5:30 and JV following

Saturday: Varsity soccer at Showcase Tournament in Gulfport
