Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, December 13, 2021. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Luke 1:26-28  God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

Thoughts on today's verse:  Wow! Such a familiar sentence packed with emotion. An angel comes to Nazareth to visit and speak with a young woman engaged to be married. Before the history-shattering news is announced, she is given one key reminder that will be truer than she could imagine, "The Lord is with you."

"Be with us Lord, we cannot live without you.  "Father, we need your abiding presence to face the challenges of life. As you have upheld your children through the ages, we are thankful to greet each day knowing that we will not face it alone.  Through Jesus we pray.  

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

January Lunch Selection:  This morning, an email was sent out to all students and staff.  Please make sure you clicked on the link to submit your lunch order for the month of January.  Even if you are not ordering from the cafeteria, you must complete the link. 

 

Email

Students, please check your email every day. You receive emails from teachers, Mrs. Gelpi, and the school. You should check your email regularly throughout the day in order to receive important messages.

 

Anyone who is interested in joining YEARBOOK, check your email and fill out the interest form ASAP! All grades are welcome! Our first meeting will be after Christmas break on Wednesday, January 5. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Ashley, Audrey Chang, or Katie Koenenn!

 

Service Hours - If you are having trouble finding service hours, please see your Religion teachers ASAP.  All service hours earned during the first semester must be turned in before leaving for Christmas holidays. 

 

Taekwondo and Mathcounts will not meet again until we return in January. 

 

Come out to our annual "Late Night Breakfast" Study Session TOMORROW from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the OLA Commons, hosted by Mu Alpha Theta.  Come study with your friends, ask your teachers those last minute exam questions, and enjoy some bacon (and other breakfast foods)!  Any questions, see Ms. Ashley.
