Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, January 14, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers. 

1 John 4:20-21  If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother."

Thoughts on today's verse:  We see what love is by what God does. He asks us to do the same for our brothers and sisters. Love must be more than talk, it must be genuinely demonstrated in action!

Father, through your Spirit, prompt us to show our love to others in actions rather than just thought and talk. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating birthdays today are Lexie Weatherly and Claire Whitney.  And celebrating their birthday tomorrow is Ellen Gibson.  Happy Birthday to ALL!

 

Mathcounts will not meet today, they will meet next Friday.

 

TODAY is the deadline for Diamond Girl applications.  For more information, please see the flyer in the front office window.

 

OLA Sports

Friday: Varsity basketball at home vs. West Marion at 5:00.  

Senior Night for Basketball and Dance is at 4:45.  Everyone please come out to support our Senior basketball players and Dance Team.

-JV/Varsity soccer at St. Patrick, Varsity at 5:30 and JV will follow

 

We do not have school on MONDAY.  When we return to school on Tuesday, we will have a School Mass, remember to wear your oxford shirt!
