Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, January 31, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Psalms 86:5 - You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call on you.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Forgiveness is such a sweet blessing. But God does more than forgive! He cleanses and forgets.

Father, we call to you wanting you to know how important your love and forgiveness are in our lives. Thank you for sending Jesus to show your love and pay the debt of our sins. Help us to live today as your children: May others see our joy and passion, to your glory. In Jesus name we pray…

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

If you would like to sing at Tri-School Mass next week, as soon as you eat lunch, report to the church for practice.  You MUST be back for your 6th period class on time--no exceptions.

 

National Honor Society tutoring, Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Colbert's room right after school until 4.

All honor society members must sign up to be tutors.  Sign-up sheet is on the glass door in the guidance department.  You will earn service hours. 

 

Attention High School Students! Looking to volunteer? The Buddy Ball Baseball Program helps special needs young people participate in T-ball and is looking for special volunteers. It is a great way for you to connect with the community and earn volunteer hours. Interested 9-12th grade students should see the flyer in the office window.

 

Tuesday the soccer team will play St. Patrick at St. Patrick, so we need to make every effort to be there and bring a friend.   We need someone to wear the moon and we need someone to wear the soccer ball costume.   Come see Mrs. Cuevas if you are interested.   Let’s make it a maroon out!!!!

 

ACT Preparation Course for Juniors and Seniors will be Monday, February 7 – Thursday, February 10 at SSC to prepare for the ACT Test on Saturday, Feb 12^th.  See flyer posted in the front office window

 

Taekwondo will meet after school today at 3:30 p.m. in the Physic Lab.

Mathcounts will meet after school NEXT Monday, February 11th.

 

OLA Sports

The soccer team beat Lloyd Star 6-0 on Saturday to advance to the South State Championship on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. against St. Patrick. 

Archery and Track practice will start after school on Tuesday

 

Tuesday: Varsity basketball at St. Patrick at 4:30 pm
