Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, January 11, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Matthew 6:19-20  Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not corrupt and thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Jesus comes to remind us that it is only by turning loose of the things that most of us keep as our treasures that we find what is truly treasure.

Father, we pray that out of the riches of your grace, you may help us find our treasure in you and nothing else. Today, we want to offer you all that we are and have to your glory.  Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Seth Davis with Herff Jones will be meeting with the Junior Class TODAY during lunch in the Physic Lab to give a presentation on purchasing class rings. 

 

Taekwondo will meet after school on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Physic Lab.

 

Mathcounts will not meet this Friday.  The next practice will be next Friday, January 21st.

 

OLA Sports

Today: JV/Varsity soccer at home vs. Picayune, Varsity at 5:30 and JV will follow

-Soccer Senior night at 5:15

Wednesday: Junior high soccer at home (OLA) vs. East Central at 5:30

Friday: Varsity basketball at home vs. West Marion at 5 

-Basketball Senior night at 4:45

-JV/Varsity soccer at St. Patrick, Varsity at 5:30 and JV will follow
