Good Morning OLA!  Today is Tuesday, January 18, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers. 


John 8:31-32  Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Thoughts on today's verse:  There are few things more coveted than freedom. People die for it. People pray for it. People strive for it. True freedom comes from knowing truth. Knowing truth only comes by living in obedience to Jesus. Truth is not something you merely think about or believe. Truth is something you do, you live.

Father, we seek not only your presence in our daily lives, but also in the choices we make. as we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthday yesterday was Grace Schruff.  And celebrating birthdays today are Kaitlyn Makamson and Ellie Powell.  Happy Birthday to ALL!

 

Taekwondo will meet after school tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. in the Physic Lab.


Mathcounts will meet on Friday.

 

OLA Sports

Today: Varsity basketball vs. St. Patrick at home at 5 pm

-varsity soccer vs. Sacred Heart at SSC at 5:30 pm

Thursday: Varsity basketball at Gautier at 6 pm

-Junior high soccer at St. Martin at 5:30 pm


Tennis Tryouts will be held on Monday, January 24th in Diamondhead from 4:00 to 5:15.

 

Students who normally have 2nd Period at SSC, you will report to Mrs. Tolar’s classroom (room 24) instead.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
