Good Morning OLA!  Today is Wednesday, January 19, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers. 

Philippians 2:14-16 - Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Stars. They've always been a source of constant hope for God's people. Jesus was a bright star come to us from heaven to shine God's light to those in darkness.

Almighty God, we thank you for calling us to be a light in the dark world around us and we pledge to shine your light today and always. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Father, we seek not only your presence in our daily lives, but also in the choices we make. as we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Taekwondo will not meet today.

Mathcounts will meet on Friday.

 

OLA Sports

Thursday: Varsity basketball at Gautier at 6 pm

-Junior high soccer at St. Martin at 5:30 pm

 

The soccer team beat Sacred Heart 1-0 last night!  Congratulations girls!

 

Tennis tryouts will be held on Monday, January 24th in Diamondhead from 4-5:15. 

 

Reminder, there will be a virtual PTO Meeting today at 6:00 p.m.; a link will be sent home through email.  Please encourage your parent to participate.
