                         OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, March 17, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Psalms 23:1-3 - The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.

Thoughts on today's verse:  He restores my soul. When we've reached point that we can't go on, God blesses us with strength to just keep on walking. When we're in a struggle and things are tough, his power upholds us and we run to victory. When we're winning victories in his name, we can soar on wings like eagles. He is a shepherd and more. He is the Rock and Sustainer of our lives!  O Gentle Shepherd, help us rest tonight in your grace and in the confidence that you are nearby. Through Jesus we pray…

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

SPIRIT WEEK 2022

Reminder that your forms with Star Dad and door workers as well as your clean up agreements are due TODAY.   Teachers if the class President has them please let them bring them immediately after announcements.   

 

REMINDER: BACKDROPS ARE TO BE HUNG today between 4-6pm.  Star Dads should bring backdrop and any needed tools and rope to hang the backdrop.  It must be hung by 6pm so plan accordingly.  

 

Reminder:  NO ITEMS CAN BE USED FROM THE ART OR SCIENCE DEPARTMENTS. 

You must bring your own paint, hairdryer, hot glue gun, rope, PVC pipe, etc.  Absolutely no items can be taken from the Art or Science departments.

 

BANNER COLOR FRIDAY

You may wear the 2 colors your class chose for their banner with your school skirt or jeans (no holes tears or rips) and tennis shoes or shoes with a back and no slippers. If you have solid color joggers or sweats that go with your class colors you may wear them.  No leggings.

 

For your scheduled OLA gym practice YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SPEAKER!!!    Also remember to turn in your receipt to Mrs. Cuevas for your banner fabric so that you can be reimbursed.  If you have not purchased your tickets for intramurals you will need to see Mrs. Cuevas to purchase them.  If you are not participating in intramurals you cannot buy a ticket.  

 

OLA Sports

Today:  Varsity Track meet at St. Patrick at 4 pm

 

SENIORS:  Seth Davis with Herff Jones will be delivering Senior Announcements orders today during lunch.  Please make sure you see him to pick up your order.
