Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, March 31, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Isaiah 53:5-6
He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Jesus had my sin, your sin, our sin, placed upon him so we would not have to bear the consequences of it.

God of peace, fill our souls with the wonder of your grace. Let us not forget the cost of your love. Stir in us the constant and abiding memory of your redemptive grace.  Through Jesus we pray.….

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

The Student Council will be hosting a blood drive on April 27th. Any student who would like to donate blood, see Mrs. Colbert for the paperwork!  The class who has the most donations made in their name will win a root beer float party! 

Mrs. Mayer needs your aluminum cans!  There will be a recycling bin in the cafeteria today and tomorrow.  If you drink a soft drink at lunch, please place your empty can in the recycling bin.  Please do make sure it is empty before you put it in the bin.  

Students & Staff who purchased a 2022 Crawfish Boil T-Shirt:  Tomorrow, ONLY those students who purchased a 2022 Crawfish Boil T-Shirt may wear their t-shirt with their school uniform skirt and school shoes.  Repeat, with your OLA SCHOOL UNIFORM SKIRT (not jeans) and school shoes.  Students not dressed appropriately will be sent to the office to call home for their school uniform.

OLA Sports

The junior high track team will compete in the District 4 championship meet at 4:30 today. Good luck girls!

Tennis Individual District Tournament at Bayou Bluff at 11 am

Softball at home vs. West Marion at 5:30 pm
