Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, April 12, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Luke 9:23-24  Jesus said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

Thoughts on today's verse:  "I've just got to find myself." Won't ever happen. We do not "find ourselves, our life" by pursuing it. We find it by losing it to something or someone greater than ourselves. We find our life by losing it to Jesus and the work of his Kingdom.

Master and Maker of all that lives and breathes, take our lives and our every breath and use it for your glory. May our words and actions this day be pleasing to you. Through Jesus we pray.….

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating their birthday today is Grace Oliver.  Happy Birthday Grace!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

OLA was well represented at Junior Youth Legislature this past weekend. 

Madeline Piazza was recognized as an outstanding Representative, Alaya Paul and Georgie Maggio were recognized as Outstanding Senators. And Maggie Dezendorf was recognized as MOST outstanding Senator.  2 of our 3 bills were signed into law.    Great job ladies!   

 

OLA Sports

The softball team beat Resurrection 15-12.

 

Today: Softball at home vs. Perry Central at 5:30.

-Track Regional meet at Tylertown at 11:30.

-Golf District Tournament at Sunkist Country Club at 9:00.

-Tennis South State at St. Andrews at 3:30.

-Dance tryouts.

Wednesday: Softball at home vs. Sacred Heart at 5:30

-Dance Tryouts

-Track Senior night at 5 at the track
