Good Morning OLA!  Today is Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Matthew 18:15 If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

Thoughts on today's verse:  The right thing is so hard to do sometimes. It is so much easier to gossip; But only one thing is the right thing to do! Go to the person who has wronged you and try to keep the damage contained to just the two of you.
Lord God Almighty, forgive my foolish and selfish ways. Through your Spirit, help me to be as forgiving as you are. Give me courage to lovingly confront those who have sinned against me, but if I cannot bring reconciliation, help me to forgive as you have forgiven me.  In Jesus name we pray….

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Celebrating their birthday is Mrs. Julie Cranford.  Happy Birthday Mrs. Cranford!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

It’s that time of year again! Our Lady of the Gulf’s Vacation Bible School is working on getting service hours out to students who would like to help. This year VBS is July 11-15^th (8:45) 9-12:30pm. Breakfast and snacks provided. Limited spaces are available so sign up on the volunteer form at olgchurch.net

Any questions students can ask Mrs. Tolar or Mrs. Massery or see flyer in office window.  We always need a lot of help from our OLA girls to make every year a success and they always come through!

 

Student Council and Class Officer Elections will be held this week. Paperwork is due TODAY!

 

OLA Sports

Callie Burrell earned her light green belt at the Taekwondo testing Friday night. Taekwondo club will begin again in August.

 

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday:  Basketball tryouts – JV/V 3:45-5:30; Junior High 5:30-7:00.

Friday:  Junior high, JV and varsity soccer tryouts will be held on Friday, May 13th at 3:45.
