Good Morning OLA!   

 

Today is Friday, August 26, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  

 

Romans 12:4-5  Just as each of us has a one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Thoughts on today's verse:  One of the key realities of Christianity is belonging. We belong! We belong to God. We belong to Jesus. We belong to Jesus' body the Church. We have a place and a purpose in that body. We belong!

Help us, Father, to find the place where we are supposed to fit in your body. Until then, we pledge to try all sorts of ministries so that your Spirit, and not just our own preference, will guide us into your place for us to serve. In Jesus name we pray….

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating their birthday today is Morgan Saucier. And celebrating birthdays tomorrow are Madelyn Johnston and Coach Corley.  Happy Birthday to ALL!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

OLA Run For Mercy

Come out and support a great cause in honor of two special people in OLA history...Mrs. Mary Alice Benvenutti and Coach Harry Hull.  The race is Sept 17th at 8:00am at Washington Pavilion.  After the race, cool down with snowballs provided by The Sweet Escape. 

The cost is 25.00 and you will receive a t-shirt.  Check your email for a google form to register.

We are also collecting new and gently used tennis shoes.  All shoes collected will go to Hancock County Resource Center and Backbay Mission.  Please donate if you are able.

 

The National Art Honor Society is looking for new members with exceptional art skills and a desire to better their community.  Students who have at least one art credit are eligible to apply.  Interested applicants should see Mrs. Bush for more information. 

 

PLEASE return your raffle ticket stubs and money to the office as soon as possible

Saturday: OLA Kickoff Classic Volleyball Tournament at OLA.

Cross Country at St. Stanislaus Meet 8:15 at SSC.

Swim Team at Coastal Invitational at Biloxi Natatorium at 10:30 am.
