Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, August 18, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  

 

Philippians 1:21  To me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Thoughts on today's verse:  The truth is often as simple as it is sweet -- if Jesus is our life, then our life has no end.

Eternal God, thank you for sending Jesus to show us your love and thank you for sending him again soon to take us home. He is our anchor in the storms of life and our light in the darkest nights, reminding us that you love us with an undying love. Through Jesus we pray…….

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Students, if you are in the hallways during MORING ANNOUNCMENTS, you should STOP walking and STAND QUIETY while the MORING PRAYER and PLEDGE are being said. 

 

If you are interested in Robotics, there will be a meeting TODAY at 3:30 in the Robotics room. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Cranford. 

 

Seniors – cross country and volleyball banner pictures will be taken TODAY after school at practice.  Plan accordingly.  If you have any questions, ask your coach.

 

PLEASE return your raffle ticket stubs and money to the office as soon as possible.  Place the ticket stubs and money (or a note stating “Charge to FACTS) in a sealed envelope, with the student’s name listed on the front of the envelope. 

 

Order your 2022 Campus Ministry T-shirt before they are gone!  See Mrs. Mayer, shirts are $20 and can be charged to your FACTS account.

 

Chromebook chargers have been ordered, if you lose your charger the replacement price is $50.00.

 

Don’t forget, breakfast is available each morning in the Commons.  Bacon or sausage, eggs, grits, biscuit or toast.   They also offer a yogurt bar with granola and fresh fruit toppings.  Delicious, be sure to try it!

 

OLA Sports

The junior high volleyball white team beat Bayou view last night. Great job girls!

 

Today:

9th grade, JV and Varsity Volleyball at home vs. Gulfport- 9th at 4:30, JV at 5:30 and varsity to follow.
