Good Morning OLA!   

 

Today is Tuesday, August 16, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating birthdays today are Annalaura Williford and Avery Elkins.  Happy Birthday to BOTH!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

If you are interested in Robotics, there will be a meeting at 3:30 on Thursday in the Robotics room. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Cranford. 

 

Seniors – cheer banner pictures will be taken today after school at practice; swim banner pictures will be taken on Wednesday after school at practice; cross country and volleyball banner pictures will be taken on Thursday after school at practice.  Plan accordingly.  If you have any questions, ask your coach.

 

School, please remember to return your raffle ticket stubs and money to the office as soon as possible.  Place the ticket stubs and money in a sealed envelope, with the student’s name listed on the front of the envelope. 

 

“You are the light of the world.”  Notice the senior student ministers wearing the yellow 2022 Campus Ministry T-shirt today, and order your shirt before they are gone!  See Mrs. Mayer before or after school.  Shirts are $20 and can be charged to your FACTS account.

 

This Thursday Campus Ministry will hold our first meeting of the school year!  Campus Ministry is open to all students. We will meet at 8am in Mrs. Mayer’s classroom and discuss our upcoming Adopt a Grandparent event with Holy Trinity and St Stanislaus, and plan for the fall semester.  Come get involved! 

 

Chorus meets during lunch on Monday and Wednesdays.  Get your food as quickly as possible and report to Mrs. Jarrell's room.

 

OLA Sports

Both junior high volleyball teams beat Hancock last night! Great job girls!

 

Wednesday: Junior High Volleyball at Bayou View Orange-White Team at 5 and Maroon Team to follow

Thursday: 9th grade, JV and Varsity Volleyball at home vs. Gulfport- 9th at 4:30, JV at 5:30 and varsity to follow.

 

SAILING NEWS:

Attention students who have an interest in SAILING: There will be a sailing team organizational meeting after school on Wednesday. If you have an interest in sailing, you are invited to find out all about the team. The meeting will be after school on Wednesday in the St. Stanislaus computer lab until 4:30.
