Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, October 24, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God as we offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Proverbs 9:10  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Thoughts on today's verse:  We pursue so many things, but only one pursuit brings wisdom. Paul reminded the Athenians that God made us to seek after him and find him (Acts 17). The wisdom of Proverbs keeps leading us back to "knowing God" and having a deep and reverential awe toward him as the source of wisdom. Understanding of priorities, needs, purposes, goals, problems, and issues can occur only when we first recognize who the Lord is and know him in our day-to-day lives.

Holy, Majestic, Righteous, and Eternal God. We confess that we know you so much less than you know us. But your faithfulness in our lives, your power displayed in history, your grace shared with so many through the cross of Christ, and your promise to bring us home to you one day sustains us. WE want to know you so that our lives can be lost in your will. Not for our glory or gain, but for your praise, we ask that you make yourself known to us in the things we do today.  Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Happy Belated Birthday Wishes to Addyson Podlin, Ella Hayward, Addison Lamb and Mrs. Khara Colbert.  And celebrating their birthday today is Grace Bishop.  Happy Birthday to ALL!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Taekwondo Club WILL NOT meet today.

Tomorrow is the last day to order a Robotics sweatshirt! They are $30 and can be charged to FACTS, and all proceeds will go to the robotics team's competition and robot fees.

 

Red Ribbon Week

Today is “Wake Up Drug Free”.  Students and staff may wear pajamas.

Tuesday:  “Bishop’s Visit”.  All students must wear their oxford shirts, skirt and school shoes.  Please remember, we WILL NOT have any oxfords to loan out, so please remember to wear yours.

 

Wednesday:  “Drug Free Dynamic Duo”.  Dress up as duos, individuals, or group costumes.

 

Thursday:  “Brighter Future Without Drugs”.  Dress up as your Future Occupation.

 

Friday:  “Team Up Against Drugs”.  Wear your favorite jerseys.
