Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, October 31, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God as we offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Ephesians 2:8-9   It is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

Thoughts on today's verse:  We all love gifts! When they're truly given, with no strings attached, all we have to do is receive them. The greatest gift we've ever received has nothing to do with our efforts. It is a gift from God. We didn't earn it, deserve it, or purchase it. God gave it through his sacrificial gift so our salvation would not be our boast, but his kindness.

Holy God, we can never thank you enough for sending Jesus and paying the debt for our sins. May we never presume on your grace or take the cost of your gift lightly. At the same time, Father, we want to live confidently, knowing that our salvation is not dependent on our mistakes but upon your grace. Because of such a lavish gift, we pledge to live for you today in a way that reflects the joy we have at receiving such an awesome gift. 'Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Due to Halloween, Taekwondo WILL NOT meet today.

 

Service Hour Opportunity - OLG Parish needs help with childcare during an RCIA retreat for their parents on Saturday, November 12, from 10am until 5pm.  It can be broken into shifts.  Please sign up with Mrs. Mayer is you are available.

Attention CAC officers and interested students, please help our Banner committee chairs make the banner for Cross Country.   We will be working today and tomorrow in Mrs. Cuevas's room during both lunches. 

 

At last week’s Cross Country meet, a uniform skirt and long sleeve gray cross country shirt was left behind.  Please stop by the office if this is yours.

 

Tri-School Mass Tomorrow.  We DO NOT have any uniform oxfords to lend, so please remember to wear your oxfords to school tomorrow!

 

At this time, ALL STUDENTS and STAFF should check their email and complete the online lunch selection for the month of November.  Even if you are not eating in the cafeteria, you MUST complete this link.  This must be done by the end of 1^st period TODAY!
