Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, October 27, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God as we offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Hebrews 4:12  The word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Thoughts on today's verse:  How often do you let God do major surgery on your spirit as his Spirit uses the Word to encourage, judge, motivate, convict, instruct, and inspire? With such a great tool so readily at hand for most of us, let's not let a day go by that we don't let God use his word on hearts.
Prayer:

Almighty God, your will is our heart's desire. But we realize that we need to be fed more consistently by your Word revealed in Scripture. Give us strength and consistency in our walk with you through your Word. Through your Spirit, inspire us to change what needs to be changed and to be blessed and encouraged in the areas that we need it most. We turn to you and trust in your Word to point us in the way of life. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Tomorrow:  “Team Up Against Drugs”.  Wear your favorite jerseys or team t-shirt with your OLA skirt and tennis shoes.

 

Teachers, please check your student’s attire. If not dressed appropriately, please send them to the office to call home for their school uniform.
