Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, October 25, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God as we offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Ephesians 5:19-20  Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Hearts full of thanks -- that's what makes for good singing! With Jesus as the source of our salvation and center of our future, how can we not sing! But singing is not just for us and God. God wants our songs to bless others. It is our ultimate spiritual talk.

O Lord, my God, you are Awesome and wondrous. Your works are magnificent and your deeds are beyond comprehension. May the words of our mouths and the thoughts of our hearts ever declare your praises. May our hearts be filled with thanksgiving for all that you have done to save us. You alone are worthy of our praise, our songs, and our lives. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Celebrating their birthday today is Riley Cruthirds.  Happy Birthday Riley!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Tomorrow is the last day to order Robotics sweatshirt! They are $30 and can be charged to FACTS, and all proceeds will go to the robotics team's competition and robot fees.

 

Red Ribbon Week

In recognition of Red Ribbon Week, SADD will provide ice cream sandwiches at lunch today.

Wednesday:  “Drug Free Dynamic Duo”.  Dress up as duos, individuals, or group costumes.

 

Thursday:  “Brighter Future Without Drugs”.  Dress up as your Future Occupation.

 

Friday:  “Team Up Against Drugs”.  Wear your favorite jerseys.

 

OLA SPORTS

The Volleyball team won the State Championship on Friday and the Swim team came in 3rd in the State Championship on Saturday. Congratulations girls!!!!

 

Congratulations to the sailing team for their fine performance at the Gulf Coast Fall Brawl Regatta in Fairhope over the weekend. Jeremy Reddoch and Alexandra Bujan led the team, placing 4th out of 11. Close behind, placing 5th were Aidan Castle and Lane Burroughs. Also sailing were Karoline Burroughs, Emma Harris, C.T. Ilgenfritz, Brayden LeBlanc, Fynn Erichson, and Kade Johnson.
