Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, October 26, 2022. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God as we offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

2 Timothy 3:16-17  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Thoughts on today's verse:  God wants us to be prepared to do good works. Thankfully he gave us the Scriptures. We must remember that the goal of Scripture is not to be learned but to be lived. God intended his Word to be practical truth -- a gift that prepares us to do every good work.

Holy God, it still amazes us that you chose to speak to us, your finite creatures, in our own words. May we never take for granted the great gift of being able to read your Word and learn your Truth. But Father, please give us the character and the courage to put it into practical use and let it train us to do your will. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
