                            OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wednesday, November 30, 2022

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God as we offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

This morning, we light one purple candle on our wreath for the first week of Advent, the week of hope.

Let us pray:  Father God, every word in scripture points to the gift of hope that we have because of Christ Jesus. The Christmas story wasn’t the beginning of that message of hope because the old testament is full of glimpses of your plan to redeem your people and restore them into a relationship with you, but we are able to truly begin to see and understand just how great your love for us is when we read the story of Jesus’ birth in scripture. That first Christmas, you gave us the gift of hope wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger. Thank you, Father, for your immeasurable gift. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

We place the ornaments on our Jesse tree today that remind us of God's covenant with Noah.

All of the world was full of sin and God wanted to cleanse the earth. Noah was the only family saved because they were worthy to take part in God’s plan. God instructed Noah to build a great ark and put his family and animals in the ark to keep them safe when the great flood came.  Noah obeyed and God promised that he would not send another flood to destroy the world. Even though we sin, God keeps his promises to us.

Please remain standing for the Pledge:

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
