OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Monday, August 28, 2023

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, August 28, 2023.

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Please remain standing for the Pledge:

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

ACT Prep Course

Mr. Gemelli will hold his "Advanced Strategies for the ACT" course in preparation for the September 9th test. The course will run from Monday, September 4 through Thursday, September 7 from 6-8 pm in Room 207. Flyers are available in the office if you are interested.

ACT has made a change this year. You can now get a copy of the September test back with correct answers. No longer are answers from the December test available. Go to ACT's website under “Additional Fees” and check TIR (Test Information Release). It costs $32 if you order it before the September 9th test date, but $40 if you order after the test date. It is the best study tool you can buy so you don't repeat the same mistakes on the next ACT test you take.

Raffle Tickets:  Don’t forget to return your raffle ticket stubs and money to the office as soon as possible.

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count.   Today’s Menu:  Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti, Vegetable & Roll; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup: Creole Onion.

OLA Sports

For those interested in playing middle school basketball this season, there will be a team meeting Tuesday, August 29th during your lunch break in the Science Lab with Coach Bill Henley and Coach Matt Ladner. Attending this meeting does not mean you’re committed. You also did not have to attend tryouts or summer workouts to be included in this meeting. We will go over a variety of topics including upcoming schedule and sizes for basketball gear that each player will get this season. Again, this is for every 7th-8th grader interested in playing.

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.

That’s all from WOLA, Have a Great Day!
