Good Morning OLA!  Today is Monday, August 7, 2023. 

 

Dear Lord,

As our students attend OLA, I pray that you will keep them in your care.

Send your Spirit to open their minds to all that is true and beautiful and good.

Help them to see the gifts and talents you have given them and to use them well.

Help them to grow in knowledge and wisdom.

Help them to be kind to others and lead others to be kind to them.

Give their teachers patience and understanding and help them teach what is just and true.

Send your angels to guide and guard our students and to keep them from all harm.

Open their young hearts to your presence and enfold them in your peace and protection.

Hold them in the palm of your hand and bring them home safely at days end.  As we Pray….

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating their Birthday yesterday was Isabella Kerner.  Happy Belated Birthday Isabella.

If you have your “purple” Chromebook Usage Policy form, signed by your parent, please drop off to the office.

 

OLA Sports

Senior banners for volleyball, cross country, cheer, dance, and swim will be taken TODAY immediately after school in the gym. Any questions please email Ms. Ashley. 

 

We will have a golf interest meeting TODAY at 3:30 in the Commons.

 

For those interested in playing varsity basketball this season, there will be a team meeting Tuesday, Aug 8th during your lunch break in the Science Lab with Coach Bill Henley. Attending this meeting does not mean you’re committed. You also did not have to attend tryouts or summer workouts to be included in this meeting. In fact, if you’re unsure as to whether you want to play this season, this is the meeting to attend to have your questions answered. We will go over a variety of topics including upcoming schedule, as well as preferred numbers and sizes for basketball gear that each player will get this season. Again this is for every 9^th-12^th grader interested in playing.  The Middle school teams will have a separate meeting in the coming weeks.”

If you plan to run Cross Country, please sign your name on the list posted on the office window!

If you plan to play soccer, please plan to attend tryouts next Monday, August 14th and Tuesday, August 15th.

 

If any returning student did not receive a yearbook, please see Ms. Ashley during a break. 

 

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count on the google doc.   Today’s Menu:  Spaghetti with Meat, Vegetable, and Garlic Bread; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Broccoli & Cheese.

 

If you are checking out early today, if you did not leave your cell phone in the office, please do so at the end of 1^st period.
