Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, August 9, 2023. 

 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Psalms 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Thoughts on today's verse:  Where can we go when all the walls fall and all the armies crumble and all hope is lost? To the eternal God, who is our Father.
Our Rock, Our Hope, and Our Protector, we thank you for preserving our lives. we thank you for hearing our cries for help and healing. We thank you for guiding our feet into ways that have been a blessing. Please, O God, stay close by as we face the stresses and challenges in our lives. Through your Spirit, enable us to grow and be examples to others as we pass through life's storm. Through Jesus we pray

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating their birthday today is Emma Hebert.  Happy Birthday Emma!

 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Car riders and Bus riders, be sure to get all needed items from your locker before reporting to your 8th period class so that when the bell rings at 3:30, you can report directly to the carline or your bus location.

 

OLA Sports

The 9th grade, JV and varsity volleyball teams all beat Long Beach last night. Congratulations girls!

 

If you plan to play soccer, please plan to attend tryouts next Monday and Tuesday.

 

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count on the google doc.   Today’s Menu:  Chicken Tenders, Mac-n-Cheese and Fruit; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup: Chicken Tortilla.

 

If you are checking out early today, if you did not leave your cell phone in the office, please do so at the end of 1st period.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
