Good Morning OLA!    Today is Friday, September 1, 2023.  

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Children don't need to be taught, they need to be trained. Life is not only about intellectual lessons, but about integrating truth into the fabric of our daily lives.

Great and Holy Counselor, help us as we seek the best thing to do to share our love. We want to know and love you even better than we do. Give us wisdom and courage to make wise decisions and tenderness to implement them in our lives. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Service Hours are available for National Honor Society members.  We are in need of student tutors for after school and weekends.  A sign-up sheet in posted in the front office window.  Be sure to circle the time that you will be available to tutor.  Any questions, please see Mrs. Gelpi. 

National Art Honors Society applicants please stop by Mrs. Troutman’s room today to pick up your portfolio. New members will receive acceptance letters via email by Tuesday.  

Campus Ministry It's that time!  Time to order this year's beautiful Campus Ministry t-shirt!  Students and parents can order by clicking on the link that was emailed to you, and shirts can be charged to FACTS.  This year's shirt is $20.  The last day to order will be Tuesday, September 5. The fundraiser will go to support Campus Ministry's Adopt A Grandparent project with Dunbar Village.  There will be special t-shirt days to wear your Campus Ministry shirt to school.   

Chorus:  If you are interested in joining the Chorus Club, please sign-up on the sheet posted in the office window.  There will be an informational meeting tomorrow during lunch.  The Chorus Club will meet before or after school (dates TBD), and will perform throughout the school year. 

Raffle Tickets:  Please return your raffle tickets ASAP.  

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count.   Today’s Menu:  Chicken Nuggers, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Fruit; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup: Potato Soup. 

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.
