Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, September 7, 2023.  

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

1 Corinthians 10:24   Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.

 

Thoughts on today’s verse:  Isn’t it amazing how the more we try to fix things for ourselves – the more we focus on “looking out for number 1” and the more we find ourselves isolated from meaningful relationships.  “If you want to have a friend, then be a friend”.

 

Father, forgive us because we know that we are often selfish.  Please bless us as we seek to be like your son in this area of our lives, Through Jesus we pray…

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating birthdays today are Natalia Mossy and Audrey Mayer.  Happy Birthday Natalia and Mrs. Mayer! 

Freshman and Seniors – When 3^rd period ends, please quietly walk over to the Church for Big Sister/Little Sister Practice.  Freshman, you will eat lunch during 5^th period.  

OLA Run for Mercy race is Sept 23^rd at 8:00am at Washington Pavilion.  The cost is $30.00.  We are also collecting new and gently used tennis shoes, please drop off in the box in the front lobby.  

Don’t forget to order you Campus Ministry shirts!  Orders close this week!  If you are applying for a leadership position in Campus Ministry, please turn in your application by the end of the school day on Thursday.  Tomorrow- join Campus Ministry for mass and muffins.  Meet in the OLG church for 7am mass followed by muffins for breakfast.  Hope to see you there!  

CAC meeting for Officers only, TODAY 2^nd lunch, in Mrs. St. Mary’s room 

Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to turn in your Summer Service Hours to Ms. Patton. 

National Honor Society members, we are in need of student tutors for after school and weekends.  A sign-up sheet in posted in the front office window.  

Chess Club will meet today after school from 3:30 until 4:15 in the Physics Lab.  If you are interested, please come. You do not need to know how to play to join.  All grades are welcome. 

Robotics will meet this TODAY from 4:00 until 5:45 in the Robotics Room.  

Raffle Tickets:  Please return your raffle tickets ASAP.  

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count.   Today’s Menu: Frito Chili Pie with Choice of Toppings, and Fruit; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup  Sweet Corn and Crab & Shrimp Bisque Soup. 

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.
