Good Morning
OLA! Today is Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Please stand for our morning
prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again,
Rejoice!
Thoughts on today's verse: Joy is found in the Lord, not in things. Joy
is found in knowing that he always accompanies, sustains, helps, protects, and
upholds us. How can we not rejoice?
Precious Father, thank you for always being
there, knowing what is in our hearts, and caring for us in ways that we cannot
even imagine. To know you, to know your promises and your coming Kingdom's
glory, we rejoice because we know our future is in your hands! Thank you,
through Jesus Christ my Lord we pray.
Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy
Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive
us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES
WEDNESDAY,
September 13th, is a “Late Take-In Day”, first bell rings
at 9:30, tardy bell rings at 9:34. The
building will be open at 8:00 a.m. for all non-driving students, please enter through the Gym Door (door
closest to the street/courtyard). Once students are on campus, they will not be allowed to
leave to go to their locker. So please
retrieve items from your locker before leaving school on Tuesday. Students
are not allowed to be on the SSC campus on Wednesday morning.
Service Hours: Holy
Trinity needs three or four extra hands at our grandparents night this Thursday
from 4:30 to 6:30 in their cafeteria.
Please contact Holy Trinity if you can help.
Homecoming Tickets
SSC will be selling Homecoming tickets in the Gap on
Wednesday, 9/20 and Wednesday 9/27, at the end of 4th period and the
beginning of 5th.
OLA Run for Mercy race is Sept 23rd at 8:00am at Washington
Pavilion. The cost is $30.00. We are also collecting new and gently
used tennis shoes, please drop off in the box in the front lobby.
Raffle Tickets: Raffle tickets are due on FRIDAY, please return your tickets!!
OLA Sports
Pictures for the basketball team will take place right after school today. This is for all basketball players whether middle school or high school. Please remember to bring your jerseys if you already have one. If you don’t, Coach Henley will provide one on Tuesday.
Teachers: Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count. Today’s Menu: Chicken and Gravy over Rice, Corn; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Creole Onion.
At this time, all students please stand for
the daily uniform and cell phone check.
