OLA! Today is Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

Ephesians 4:29 Do
not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful
for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who
listen.
Thoughts on today's verse:
The goal in Christian communication is not merely clarity,
but encouragement based on what the needs of the other person are.
Tender Shepherd, give us hearts that are pure so
that our words may be pure. Give us hearts that are kind so that our words may
be kind. Give us hearts that are full of joy and encouragement so that we may
share these with those you bring to our path and with whom we share
conversation. Through Jesus we pray.

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy
Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive
us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not

IMPORTANT MESSAGES
Service Hours:
OLG Rummage Sale, Saturday Sept 30th and Sunday Oct 1st. Students will assist in setting up and moving
items to the grounds. See Mrs.
Mayer for more information. Flyer is
posted in hallway window.
Homecoming Tickets
SSC will be selling Homecoming tickets in the Gap tomorrow
and next Wednesday at the
end of 4th period and the beginning of 5th.
Please remember to bring cash or check made payable to SSC, tickets are
$30.00.
OLA Run for Mercy race is Sept 23rd at 8:00am at Washington
Pavilion. The cost is $30.00. We are also collecting new and gently
used tennis shoes, please drop off in the box in the front lobby.
Students,
if you register – you can wear closed back shoes this week and when you come to
the race on Saturday, you will receive your t-shirt. You will be able to wear your t-shirt to
school on Monday, with your uniform shirt and closed back shoes. You will also receive a free fountain drink
at lunch.
OLA Sports
Teachers: Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count. Today’s Menu: Red Beans and Rice with Sausage and Corn Bread; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Chicken Tortilla Soup.
At this time, all students please stand for
the daily uniform and cell phone check.
