OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Morning OLA!  Today is Wednesday, September 20, 2023.  

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others.

Thoughts on today's verse:  We must look to the interest of others and not just our own.

Father, teach us to love your family as you do. We get so caught up and distracted with our own world and our own problems that we forget to notice those who are hurting. Help us to grow more aware and more attune to those needs so you may minister through us. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Service Hours: 

OLG Rummage Sale, next Saturday and Sunday.  Students can help and earn Service Hours.   See Mrs. Mayer for more information.  

Homecoming Tickets

SSC will be selling Homecoming tickets in the Gap TODAY and next Wednesday at the end of 4th period and the beginning of 5th.  Please remember to bring cash or check made payable to SSC, tickets are $30.00. 

OLA Run for Mercy race is this Saturday!  Students, if you register – you can wear closed back shoes this week and when you come to the race on Saturday, you will receive your t-shirt.  You will be able to wear your t-shirt to school on Monday, with your uniform skirt and closed back shoes.  You will also receive a free fountain drink at lunch.  

OLA Sports

The Swim Team won their dual meet yesterday and the JV and Varsity Volleyball Teams both beat West Marion. Great job girls!
The Junior High Volleyball Team will play in the playoff game tonight at 5:30 at Ocean Springs. Good luck girls! 

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count.   Today’s Menu: Chicken Tenders, Mac-n-Cheese, Green Peas or Corn; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Broccoli Cheddar. 

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.
