OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Monday, October 16, 2023

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, October 16, 2023.

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 12:2  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Let us be transformed by renewing our minds and doing what Paul said he did -- take every thought, every word, captive for Christ.

O Lord, please guard my soul from pride, my heart from callousness, and my mind from too much focus on unimportant things and not enough on your things. Teach me in my heart what it means to be about my Father's business, especially in the world of my thoughts! Through Jesus we pray…..

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Please remain standing for the Pledge:

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthday today is Grace Genna.  Happy Birthday Grace!

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

10th through 12th graders:  Youth Leg will meet TODAY after school from 3:30 to 4:30 and will meet every Monday & Wednesday, from 3:30 to 4:30 in the new Student Resource Center.

Student council is happy to announce the return of Trunk or Treat. See Mrs. Colbert for details!

Student council is happy to host our annual pumpkin patch! Meet with your classes and your clubs to decorate your pumpkins! Pumpkin themes should be fun and creative, but remember you CANNOT cut the pumpkins!

When choosing a theme keep in mind that pumpkins should not promote anything that contradicts our faith!

We are EXCITED to see what everyone comes up with! Pumpkins will be here next week and are due October 30.

DUNBAR VILLAGE needs our help for the annual Halloween trick or treat!  Campus Ministry will be collecting bags of candy.  Please turn in your candy to your religion teacher.  Also, if you are interested in helping the elders pass out candy or work games for the children on Halloween, please see Mrs. Mayer to sign up.  This is a wonderful event and a good way to earn service hours or member duties for campus ministry.
