OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Morning OLA!  Today is Tuesday, October 17, 2023.  

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Psalms 25:14-15  The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Precious Father, you have done so much to save us. You who are so holy and righteous have reached down to take our hand. Teach us your ways. Correct the wrongs in our lives. Guide us into your truth.  Make us a vessel that can be used to honor you. Through Jesus we pray…..

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthday today is Kaylin Kinniburgh.  Happy Birthday Kaylin! 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Any student in grades 7th or 8th interested in Lego League, please meet with Mrs. Cranford in the Student Resource at lunch on WEDNESDAY (this date has been moved from today to tomorrow at lunch)!

After school meetings will take place on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30. Come try it out! 

Student Council is happy to announce the return of Trunk or Treat, see Mrs. Colbert for details!  

DUNBAR VILLAGE needs our help for their annual Halloween trick or treat, see Mrs. Mayer to sign up.  And don’t forget to bring in your bag of candy to your religion teacher. 

Student council is EXCITED to see what everyone comes up with, Pumpkins are due October 30th.   And for more information on their annual Trunk or Treat, see Mrs. Colbert!  

OLA Sports

Congratulations to our Volleyball Team for winning the South State Championship last night.  They will compete on Friday for State. Go Crescents!!! 

There will be no basketball practice this afternoon. Varsity will practice again on Wednesday after school ends. 

Middle School Basketball will be checking out at 3:00 today and will meet in the gym.  If you did not drop off your cell phone to the office, please do so at the end of 1^st period.

Junior High Soccer practice starts today at 4 and will go until 5:30. If you are interested in playing soccer and are in the 7th and 8th grade, please go to practice today! 

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count.   

Today’s Menu: Lasagna, Corn and Garlic Bread Knots; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Cerole Onion Soup. 

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.
