Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, October 18, 2023. 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Glorify your name, O God, the Eternal Father of grace.  Thank you for Jesus, who has redeemed, gifted, strengthened, led, and empowered us to serve.  May you be glorified in all that we say and do, in Jesus’ name we pray…..

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthday today is Hadley Mayfield.  Happy Birthday Hadley! 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Student Council is happy to announce the return of Trunk or Treat, see Mrs. Colbert for details.  

DUNBAR VILLAGE needs our help for their annual Halloween trick or treat, see Mrs. Mayer to sign up.  And don’t forget to bring in your bag of candy to your religion teacher. 

Student Council Pumpkins are due October 30th.   

OLA Sports

Varsity Basketball practice today after school. 

Our Middle School girls played a couple of basketball games last night against 7a Biloxi Middle School. We won the first game and lost the second game by 1 point on a last second shot. The Crescents get a chance to avenge this loss on Monday during the Middle School home openers.  There will be 2 games. The first one starts at 5:30 pm so come out and support your Crescents! 

School Mass tomorrow, ALL students must wear their oxford shirts.  We will not have any extra oxford shirts to loan out to students.  This is also Grandparent’s Day, Mass will start at 8:35.  

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and enter your lunch count.   

Today’s Menu: Frito Chili Pie with Choice of Toppings and Pinto Beans; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Loaded Baked Potato. 

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.
