OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thursday, December 14, 2023
Good Morning
OLA! Today is Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Please stand for our morning
prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy
Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive
us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Please remain standing for the Pledge:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Important Messages
Jesse
Tree
Today we place ornaments on our tree for Isaiah and Daniel.
Isaiah the prophet is quoted many times in the New Testament. He saw a vision of God sitting high on a throne, and Isaiah realized he was a sinner. God forgave him and purified Isaiah of his son. Then, Isaiah heard God say, "Whom shall we send?" and Isaiah replied, "Here I am, Lord; send me." Isaiah said the Savior would be a light to the nations. His prophecies of the suffering servant describe the Messiah and his death long before Jesus is born. May we also hear God calling to us and have the desire to answer, "Here I am, Lord."
Jerusalem was captured by the Babylonians. Daniel continued to worship the one, true God, and refused to worship the king or false gods. Because of this, Daniel was thrown into the den of the lions. Scripture says, "My God has shut the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me." God protected Daniel, just as he wants to protect from evil all who remain close to him.
