OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, January 12, 2024.  

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating birthdays over the weekend are Lexie Weatherly, Lily Garcia and Ellen Gibson.  Happy Birthday to ALL!

 

Important Messages

The deadline for the National Honor Society's drive for the Open Door Coalition is Thursday January 18. Members, if you plan to get your service hour this way, please drop your donation off on the table by Mrs. Gelpi's door by the deadline.  

Mardi Gras Masquerade will be on Saturday, January 27^th from 7:30 to 10:00 at Parrish’s in Long Beach Harbor.  Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, $20 for single $35 for a couple. 

No school on Monday, out for Martin Luther King holiday.  When we return on Tuesday, we will have a School Mass.  Be sure to wear your oxford shirt. 

SPORTS

Senior Night for Basketball and Dance, today at 5:15.  Followed by Varsity basketball, OLA vs. West Marion.

JV/V Soccer at home vs Sacred Heart at 5:30. 

Everyone signed up for archery, please meet Coach Corley in the Student Resource Room during Morning Break.  You will not be able to begin archery without attending this meeting. 

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and also enter yours and your student’s lunch selection.   

Today’s Menu: Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Sausage and Cornbread; or Soup and Salad Bar.  Today’s soup is Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. 

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.
