Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, August 28, 2024.  

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

Faith First

James 1:2-4  Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Always have FAITH ……….. In Jesus name we pray….

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Sisterhood Shirt:

TODAY AFTER SCHOOL, please check at home to locate your sisterhood t-shirt.  DO NOT WAIT!  If you cannot find yours or need a different size, email Ms. Chapman before FRIDAY. There is a $15 replacement fee.   If you are a new student, your shirt has been ordered.

Raffle Tickets:  Please return your raffle tickets to the office as soon as possible.  

OLA Sports

Ø  The swim team competed in a swim meet this past weekend in Biloxi.  Ella Garcia placed 1st in the 200 free and 100 breast.  Charlotte McCall, Sadie Thigpen, Ashlynn Tolar, and Ella Garcia placed 2nd in the 200 free relay.  Great swim meet ladies.  

Ø  Yesterday, the OLA swim team won their meet with Long Beach.  The relay team won the 200 medley and the 200 freestyle relays.  Averi Tolar won the 200 freestyle.  Charlotte McCall won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke.  Ella Garcia won the 50 freestyle.  Stella Cappel won the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke

Ø  The JV and varsity volleyball teams both beat St. Patrick

Ø  The golf team placed second in the East Central tournament. Gabby Haas and Tilley Newman tied for 4th place.  

Lunch and Attendance

Teachers:  Please enter your attendance and lunch orders.   Today’s Menu: Chicken Alfredo, Green Beans, Garlic Bread Stick; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Broccoli Cheddar.
