Good Morning OLA!  Today is Monday, October 28, 2024.  

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

Psalm 93:5

Your statutes stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days, O Lord.

 

Thoughts on Today’s Verse:  So many of the material thing we pursue are temporary.  So, as we build our lives, let’s construct them on a secure foundation, the will of God and a commitment to share in his holiness by living to honor him, Through Jesus we pray.


Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Celebrating birthdays today are Ella Garcia and Bijou Ellison.  Happy Birthday Ella and Bijou! 

Important Messages 

OLA Sports

Our varsity basketball team went 1-1 this weekend in a preseason scrimmage at Pass Christian including a 36-13 victory against the Pass.  If there are any athletes who want to play basketball this season and aren’t committed to a winter sport, please come to the gym after school and talk to Coach Bill. 

Congratulations to the sailing team for winning the Hospitality Regatta held in Jackson over the weekend. Five schools competed in a 10-race 2-division series. Our team won first place in both divisions and first place overall. Sailing for Stanislaus were: Aidan Castle, Landon Newton, Karoline Burroughs, Jonah Grumme, Jason Zhang, and Jason Lee. Great job sailing Rocks! 

Lunch and Attendance

Teachers:  Please enter your attendance and lunch orders.   Today’s Menu: Spaghetti & Meat Sauce; Corn and Gar; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Chicken Tortilla.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
