OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, October 8, 2024. 

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

Romans 12:2  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Let us be transformed by renewing our minds, take every thought, every word, captive for Christ.


O Lord, please guard my soul from pride, my heart from callousness, and my mind from too much focus on unimportant things and not enough on your things. Teach me what it means to be about my Father's business, especially in the world of my thoughts! Through Jesus we pray…..

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

National Honor Society meeting today during 2nd Lunch.  So report to the Commons, pray, grab your lunch and report to the Student Resource Lab. 

There are extra Campus Ministry Shirts!  See Mrs. Goris to purchase one for $18. It will be charged to FACTS. Please come before the end of the day on Wednesday. 

OLA Sports

JV and Varsity Soccer tryouts will be held on October 9th and 10th from 4-6 pm at the OLA soccer field.

The Cross Country team placed 2nd in the Cathedral Cross Country Invitational. 

Lunch and Attendance

Teachers:  Please enter your attendance and lunch orders.   Today’s Menu: Beef or Chicken Tacos with Trimmings, Chips and Queso; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Chicken & Dumpling.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
