Friday, November 1, 2024 Morning Announcements
OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Friday, November 1, 2024
Good Morning OLA! Today is Friday, November 1, 2024.
Morning Offering and Special
Intentions:
Please stand for our morning
prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.
Ephesians 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be
enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the
riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.
Thoughts on today's verse: Heaven is something we see with our heart.
When we are discouraged, we need to have the eyes of our hearts
"enlightened."
O God, you are our Hope. We trust in you and
your promises. But we admit that at times, we struggle. Please fill us with your Spirit, comfort our
doubts, and kindle our passion so that we may serve you with boldness and share
your grace with others. Through Jesus we pray.
Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy
kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive
us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Please remain standing for the Pledge:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

OLA Sports
Yesterday, the OLA Cross Country team delivered a strong
showing at the 2024 MHSAA 3A State Championships, securing 4th place out of 10
teams with 111 points and a commendable average time of 24:40. Freshman
Henrietta Doxey set the pace with an impressive 10th place overall finish,
clocking a season-best 22:50. Senior Emma Cain, along with Freshman Sarah
Tenney and 8th Grader Estelle Sevener, also achieved their season-best times, a
testament to their hard work and commitment.
As we celebrate the culmination of a successful season, we
bid a heartfelt farewell to our seniors, especially Emma Cain, who has been an
inspiring presence on this team. Their contributions have helped lay the
foundation for a bright future. With the younger runners gaining confidence
and strength, we look forward to the continued growth of OLA Cross Country
and the journey ahead.
