OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, May 1, 2025. 

Colossians 3:23-24: “Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others, knowing that you will receive from the Lord the due payment of the inheritance; be slaves of the Lord Christ.”

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father.  Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthday today is Lauren Buice. Happy Birthday Lauren! 

Important Messages

Library: all library books need to be returned by Tuesday, May 6th. If the library is closed for testing, please leave the book with Mrs. Farrior in the main office. 

Juniors, bring your Senior Ring to the office by the end of the day today.  If you had ordered a ring from Herff Jones, we have those in the office. 

OLA Sports

All volleyball tryouts start on Monday, May 5th.  You must have a physical on file to try out.

Rising 8th Graders are from 530-7.

Rising 9th-12th Graders are from 345-6. 

Anyone considering playing basketball, being a basketball manager or Gameday crew member, please sign-up on the sheet taped to the window in the Student Resource Center. 

Lunch and Attendance

Teachers:  Please enter your attendance and lunch orders.   Today’s Menu: Cilantro Lime Rice with Vegetables; Tortilla Chips & Queso; and Drink; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Creamy Chicken.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
