Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, September 11, 2025. 

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating birthdays today are Ava Garcia, Bella Chiniche and Mary Swinton Harris.  Happy Birthday to ALL! 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

An email was sent out yesterday with a link to place your order for Pizza Hut for Friday’s lunch.  All students and staff must complete the link before the end of 1st Period.  Even if you are not ordering pizza, you must complete the link. 

Campus Ministry:  Are you interested in joining Campus Ministry club? There will be an interest meeting this Thursday morning at 8am in Mrs. Corr’s room.  

PTO is collecting Claibourn Hill grocery receipts.  Please drop off your receipts to the office.  

Raffle Tickets are due by 3:30 tomorrow!  Please return your raffle tickets to the office as soon as possible.  

OLA Sports

JV/Varsity Volleyball at St. Patrick’s, 5:30 p.m. 

SWIM:  OLA won their meets with  Harrison Central, West Harrison, and Biloxi; while they placed 2nd against St Patrick. 

The 200 medley relay of Stella Cappel, Bijou Ellison, Charlotte McCall, and Ellie Thompson placed 2nd.

Paige Zimmerli placed 2nd in the 200 freestyle.

Ella Garcia placed 1st in the 200 IM.

Maci Thompson placed 2nd in the 50 freestyle.

Charlotte McCall placed 2nd in the 100 butterfly.

In the 100 freestyle, Ella Garcia placed 1st, Maci Thompson placed 2nd, and Paige Zimmerli placed 3rd.

The 200 freestyle relay of Paige Zimmerli, Charlotte McCall, Maci Thompson, and Ella Garcia placed 1st.

Stella Cappel placed 2nd in the 100 backstroke.

The 400 freestyle relay of Ellie Thompson, Stella Cappel, Maci Thompson, and Ella Garcia placed 1st. 

Attendance & Lunch Orders

Teachers:  Please enter your attendance and lunch orders.   Today’s Menu:  Fried Pork Chop; Mashed Potatoes; White or Brown Gravy; Green Beans; and Drink; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Mrs. Florence’s Creamy Chicken & Broccoli Soup.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
