Good morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, September 24, 2025. 

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:

JOHN 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

SSC will be in the Gap TODAY during both lunches to sell Homecoming Tickets.  The SSC Homecoming Dance is only for 9th to 12th Graders.  Cost per ticket is $25, cash or check only. 

Noah with University of South Alabama will be in the gap at second lunch on Thursday, September 25th. Stop by and learn more about majors, the application process and scholarship opportunities available at USA. 

7th grade is winning the penny wars.  There will be another collection on Thursday with an update on Friday.  The last day to send in money is Monday the 29th.  The winning class will have a chance to dunk Mrs. Tolar in the dunking booth.   

OLG will have opportunity for community service this Saturday after the 5:00 pm Mass to help with child care for the parent’s night out. 

PTO is collecting Claibourn Hill grocery receipts.  Please drop off your receipts to the office.  

OLA Sports

OLA won their meet with St. Patrick by 1 point.

Ø  Ashlynn Tolar placed 2nd in the 200 Freestyle.

Ø  Ella Garcia placed 1st in the 200 IM.

Ø  Maci Thompson placed 1st in the 50 Freestyle.

Ø  Ella Garcia placed 1st in the 100 Butterfly.

Ø  Maci Thompson placed 2nd in the 100 Freestyle.

Ø  Stella Cappel placed 1st in the 100 Backstroke.

Ø  Charlotte McCall placed 1st in the 100 Breaststroke.

The 400 Freestyle relay of Stella Cappel, Ellie Thompson, Ashlynn Tolar, and Ella Garcia placed 1st.  Congratulations Ladies! 

Volleyball Senior Night is this Thursday at the home game versus West Harrison.  The presentation will immediately follow the JV game (about 6:00 pm).  Come out and honor our senior volleyball players. 

Attendance & Lunch Orders

Teachers:  Please enter your attendance and lunch orders.   Today’s Menu:  Lasagna, Side Salad and Garlic Knot; and Drink; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Vegetable Beef.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
