Good Morning OLA!    Today is Monday, September 14, 2026.  

Morning Prayer:

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

Dear Lord, thank You for this new day.  Grant us peace, strength, and guidance as we face whatever comes.  Fill our hearts with gratitude and help us walk in Your love……  as we pray………..

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Birthdays

Celebrating their birthday today are Estelle Sevener and Victoria Mossy.  Happy Birthday Estelle and Victoria! 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

There will be a CAC meeting at 7:50 on Wednesday. 

Attention all students who plan on attending Youth Legislature! Your payments of 150 dollars are due on Tuesday September 15th. Checks should be made out to Our Lady Academy. Turn them in to Mrs. McRaney and be prepared to give her an update on your bill. Remember, once the payment has been submitted, no refunds can be issued. 

PTO is collecting Claiborne Hill grocery receipts.  Please drop off your receipts to the office.  

OLA Sports

Attention Soccer Players!

JV and Varsity Soccer tryouts will be held September 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd and 25th at the OLA soccer field at 4.00.  Junior high soccer tryouts will be held September 21-22 from 4-5:30 at the OLA soccer field.  

Congrats to our Junior High Volleyball team for winning the Battle at the Den tournament in Slidell on Saturday. Come out and see them in their last regular season home game tonight at 530 and 630 vs Pass Middle as they fight for the #1 seed in the Junior High playoffs. 

This weekend the Cross Country team competed at the SSC Invitational. Out of 20 teams, OLA finished 2nd overall bringing home their 3rd trophy for the season so far. Our top five scorers were Callie Zimmerli, Annie Lee, Bernadette Hoffman, Leah Vollenweider, and Bijou Ellison.  Callie Zimmerli placed in the top 10.  

At a Swim competition with 14 other schools, OLA placed 1st.

The 200 medley relay of Paige Zimmerli, Charlotte McCall, Ella Garcia, and Maci Thompson placed 2nd.

Ashlynn Tolar placed 7th in the 200 freestyle.

Charlotte McCall placed 4th in the 200 IM.

Maci Thompson placed 1st in the 50 freestyle.

Ella Garcia placed 2nd in the 100 butterfly.

Maci Thompson placed 2nd in the 100 freestyle.

Ella Garcia placed 1st in the 500 freestyle.

The 200 freestyle relay of Charlotte McCall, Ashlynn Tolar, Maci Thompson, and Ella Garcia placed 1st.

Paige Zimmerli placed 7th in the 100 backstroke.

Charlotte McCall placed 3rd in the 100 breaststroke.

The 400 freestyle relay of Gabriella Miceli, Stella Cappel, Ashlynn Tolar, and Paige Zimmerli placed 2nd.

Finally, Ella Garcia further broke her newly set team record in the 500 freestyle, resetting it again with a new time of 5:25.46. Congratulations!
