Thursday, November 16, 2023 Morning Announcements
OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thursday, November 16, 2023
Good Morning
OLA! Today is Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Sacrificial and all-powerful God, forgive us for our sins, especially the sin of living with improper priorities. We want your grace and loving-kindness to be seen in how we conduct our lives and treat those around us. In addition, please give us the courage to communicate in words and deeds what exalts you, brings you praise, and encourages others. In Jesus name we pray,
Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy
Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive
us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Please remain standing for the Pledge:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
IMPORTANT MESSAGES
Students,
please return your survey form that you received yesterday to your 1st
period teacher.
Science National
Honor Society officer’s meeting TODAY during lunch in Mrs. Cranford's room.
The Student Council will be
sponsoring a turkey teacher contest. Council members have placed a turkey for
each teacher in the gap. We sell “feathers” to be added to the turkey for $1.
For $2, a person can take a feather off a turkey. Student Council members will
sell the feathers, keep track of the number sold, and glue the feathers on
daily. On the Thursday before Thanksgiving, they will announce the name of the
teacher with the most feathers–the turkey teacher–who will proudly wear a
turkey suit on Friday!
We aim to raise $500 to purchase a second swing for the courtyard and help kick off OLA’s I Give Catholic appeal!! BRING YOUR DOLLARS! WHO WILL BE STRUTTING AND TURKEY TROTTING THE HALLWAYS! Gobble Gobble
NJHS is hosting a Penny Wars fundraiser for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence! The turkey banks for each grade can be found in front of Mrs. Tolar's room. Whichever grade donates the most money will earn a cozy free dress day of sweatpants, appropriate t-shirts, sweatshirts, and tennis shoes on Friday! Every penny counts as one point for that grade, and silver coins or paper bills take away a point. You can put paper bills or silver coins in other grades' turkeys to target another grade. Have fun!
Teachers: Please take daily attendance. You DO NOT need to enter student lunch
selection. This was done yesterday via email.
At this time, all students please stand for
the daily uniform and cell phone check.
That’s
all from WOLA, Have a Great Day!
