OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Morning OLA!    Today is Wednesday, November 29, 2023.  

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Important Messages

Juniors and Seniors, Dallas with USM will be on campus today during lunch.  Please stop by for important information on what USM has to offer.

 

On Friday, student council will be having a bake sale during both lunches. Bring your money! They will be selling baked goods and hot chocolate. 

National Junior Honor Society is hosting a Penny Wars for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The deadline is TODAY at 3:30, and whichever class wins will be able to wear a free dress day of sweatshirts and appropriate t-shirts, sweatpants, and closed-back tennis shoes this Friday! The winners will be announced after school Thursday, so check your emails then! 

Service Hours

St. Clare Church is hosting a babysitting service for parents on Saturday, December 9th after the 5:30 mass and is looking for girls who need service hours that would be able to help on this day.  They will have a Christmas movie and other fun things to do.   There is a sign up on Mrs. Mayers' door, please sign-up ASAP.  

Holy Trinity needs 6-8 student volunteers to help with Cookies with Santa this Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s hours are 3-5pm to help with loading/unloading and setup, and anytime 9:30-2:30 on Sunday to help with setup, running/helping with booths, and breakdown. Please sign-up in the office. 

Campus Ministry

7:00 AM mass and muffins on Nov 30th (Thursday) hosted by Campus Ministry in honor of Advent!! 

December 7th at 3:45 PM Campus Ministry and Chorus members are caroling at Dunbar. All are welcome!! 

Please see Mrs..Mayer, Marley Kinniburgh, or any campus ministry member for more information. 

A rosary was found in the church parking lot, please stop by the office to claim. 

OLA Sports

JH Basketball at West Harrison today at 4:30. 

JH Soccer at home (SSC) vs. Creekbend Middle at 5:30.

JV/V Soccer at home vs Biloxi at 5:30. 

Teachers:  Please take daily attendance and also enter yours and your student’s lunch selection.   

Today’s Menu: Grilled Cheese with Chili or Tomato Basel Soup; or Soup and Salad Bar.  Today’s soup is Italian Wedding. 

At this time, all students please stand for the daily uniform and cell phone check.
