Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, December 5, 2025. 

Morning Offering and Special Intentions: 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

As we continue our journey through Advent, we pray for an increase in faith and that we will live as a new creation in Christ Jesus.  Through Jesus we pray…

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

BIRTHDAYS

Celebrating their birthday on Sunday is Emma Pecua.  Happy “Early” Birthday Emma! 

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

Yearbook Club:

Are you interested in being on the yearbook staff? Please see Mrs. Corr to get a flyer with details on how to apply. Applications are due Tuesday, December 9th.  

PTO is collecting Claibourn Hill grocery receipts.  Please drop off your receipts to the office. 

OLA Sports

Today:  Varsity Basketball at West Marion at 6:00 p.m. 

Congrats to our OLA Middle School Basketball team for their wins this week. On Monday, we defeated Poplarville 35-21 and last night we defeated Picayune 41-14. 

Softball try-out #1 will be held TOMORROW from Noon until 2:00 PM at the OLA Softball Field.  Please wear athletic and OLA clothing, and bring cleats and tennis shoes to the try-out. 

Attendance & Lunch Orders  If you DID NOT preorder a pizza yesterday and you DID NOT bring a lunch from home today, please stop by the office when the bell rings at the end of 1st Period.  You will need to call home to have your parents bring you a lunch.

Last Day of School – Dress Code & Dismissal Information

  Dear Parents, As we approach the last day of school on  Friday , please take note of the following important reminders: Students may wear shorts and a t-shirt  on the last day. Please ensure attire is school-appropriate. 8th grade students  should bring their  complete Mass uniform  to change into for the  8th Grade Promotion Ceremony . Exams will end at 10:00 AM. From  10:00–11:00 AM , students will report to their  class sponsor’s classroom . During this time, they will be called to the office to  return Chromebooks and chargers . 8th graders  will return their Chromebooks during their  8th period exam .
